The area where we found the decomposer was shady and had very little sunlight.
What type of decomposer did you identify?
We identified moss.
What other biotic and abiotic things are in the immediate area? (List and describe as many as you can identify)
There was a giant rock, a creek, grass, organisms such as bugs, and vegetation.
What are the signs that decomposition is happening?
On one of the smaller tress that is connected to a big tree by its roots has a big spot of rotten wood on the side of the tree and the only reason that is still standing is because it’s connected to the big tree.
What is the temperature in the exact spot you found the decomposer?
The temperature where we found the decomposer was 65 degrees.
What is the ground temperature in that area?
The ground temperature where we found our decomposer was 60 degrees.
